What does “klimafreundlich” mean?
Climate-friendly asserts a positive or at least low climate impact without naming any concrete benchmark or reference point. As a general environmental claim, the term is permissible under the EmpCo directive only with concrete, recognised and publicly accessible evidence substantiating the asserted climate effect. Absent this proof, the claim is misleading because it implies an unspecified climate advantage.
Why this term is risky
